Marieville Cemetery is the cemetery of Marieville. When reading the 1800s burial records, be careful since there were two churches in this town that were joined under a name Saint-Nom-de-Jesus. Saint-Nom-de-Jesus is not a church building but rather a joint parish name. Saint-Nom-de-Jesus is a joining of St-Nom-de-Marie Church and Sainte-Marie-de-Monnoir. The church of Marieville is St-Nom-de-Marie Church and and the church of the ward of Marieville named Sainte-Marie-de-Monnoir is Sainte-Marie-de-Monnoir Church. The wards separated into towns in 1855 but still had joint religious records. The towns reunited in 2000. The burial records of Sainte-Marie-de-Monnoir come first in the joint burial records and those of St-Nom-de-Marie come at the end. It is believed at this time that they shared the same cemetery.
