The Cemetery is said to be on the PLantation of Elijah Ratliff close to GUM Springs Baptist Church off Modern Day Hailey Ferry Road ( what is today a Part of Lilesville NC )
South of Samuel Spencers Plantation.
West of NC 145 / Pee Dee area and South of present Day US Highway 74. Elijah was buried near his home .
The site now believed unaccessable is owned by the Gravel and Mining Companies. Elijah gave The Property for Gum Springs Baptist Church and Cemetery to the Church.

Elijah Descibed his Plantation Location as follows in his will's sec paragraph

"Beginning at the certain Northwest
corner of William Clarks lands (his lands on the north side of Island Creek) and runs a direct line
to a poplar on the bank of a branch near when the old shop stood then up the various causes of said branch to the Wall ferry Road then up said road to the line of the Walls lands then around with my outside lines and with Wall and Spencer line to Island Creek then around with my other
outside lines until it comes to Island Creek again then with William Clarks lands to the beginning."
