Jan. 2009 - Antioch Cemetery is abandoned and overgrown. It is sometimes called Plentitude, which was a nearby community. Hanks and Old Berryman are other names the cemetery has been known by because many buried there were members of those families. It is a large cemetery, about 800 by 300 feet, but difficult to see the gravestones because it is overgrown with brush and trees. The cemetery is on private property.

Driving directions from Palestine, Texas - drive north on Anderson County Road (ACR) 403 to its junction with ACR 414. Stop and look to the right. You will see a metal gate crossing a road which is the beginning of the road to the cemetery. The gate doesn't open due to brush and other plant growth. The road has washed out sections so it is not passable for most vehicles.
