This small cemetery is located on the grounds of Todd's Inheritance, a historical farm listed on the National Register of Historic Places. According to markers on the site, the Todd family occupied this farm and several others nearby for approximately 300 years/10 generations. It's historical significance stems from an attempted attack on Baltimore by the British in the War of 1812 during which the original farm house was used by sentries of the local militia as a watch post. The retreating British troops, however, burned the original structure and the current house was built on its site. The cemetery holds more than 45 marked burials and is surrounded by a low, stone wall. Inset into this wall is a plaque which reads, "Todd's Inheritance Perpetual Care Oak Lawn Cemetery." This is related to the sponsorship of the cemetery by Oak Lawn. This burial place is located on private property and should be respected as such.
