Liberty Cemetery is located in section 7 in Liberty Township. On December 3, 1881, George Northcutt, Isaiah Stratton and A.B. Foutek were appointed a committee to select a site for a burial ground and church site. The site selected was the northeast corner of Thomas Stratton's farm. When the church was completed, Mr. & Mrs. Stratton presented the church with the deed to the ground.
The church is no longer standing.
As of June 13, 2009, all the pine trees in the cemetery have died presumably due to pine beetle infestation and have been cut down. The cemetery is void of trees. The cemetery sign shown in the picture is gone as well.
