From the intersection of Maryland Route 5 and Golden Beach Road, go on east on Golden Beach Road for about 5 miles. Turn right on Allen Street and follow it around. The cemetery is on the north side of the road with a brick wall around it.
This is a family cemetery of the Sothoron family on their plantation "The Plains". Janet Tice's book calls it "Plains Cemetery". It was started around 1675 and apparently has not been used for burials since about 1835. In addition to eight stones, there are six or seven indentations which are probably unmarked graves of slaves.
