This is a town-owned cemetery. It was established before 1700. To get to the cemetery, follow the path that leads from the Norton Historical Commission sign on Bay Road to the cemetery. The path extends along the southern end of a meadow and along a tree line. There is a wooden bench at the half way point and at the front of the cemetery. This cemetery is overgrown and many of the rails are bent.
The Massachusetts Historical Commission does not refers to this cemetery in MACRIS.
This cemetery is referred to in the Norton, MA Vital Records to 1850 Published by: New England Historic Genealogical Society as "G.R.1 - First Burial Place".
