View of the cemetery from inside the woods. There are no stones standing in the cemetery. All are on the ground. Probably the majority have sunk into the dirt. I believe there are only 2 that are in one piece, the rest are in multiple pieces. I've read descriptions stating a farmer destroyed the stones intentionally. I've seen other cemeteries in locations such as this before, but have never seen such destruction. I don't know that a farmer destroyed these, but it definitely isn't all due to mother nature. I'd say another possibility would be cows pastured in the area. I went to first farmhouse on the left, after leaving the cemetery, going toward the state border on Hodgin Rd., just before the RR tracks. These people didn't own the property, but they were related to the owners. There were No Trespassing signs all over, so getting permission is definitely the way to go.
