Hodgerson Cemetery is located at county roads 15 West and 8.5 south, about 1/4 mile back from the road in a grove of trees, southeast of the intersection. Section 7, Twp. 14 No., Range 7 West of 3rd PM.
This cemetery was started on ground owned by the Meachams, who later were transferred to the Union Cemetery nearby. It is reported that a wagon train going west stopped here. A family was sick and they camped in a grove of trees. Two of the family's six children died of smallpox and were buried here.
