Piper Farm Cemetery is on a hill on Black Oak Ridge east of Route 26 and off Township Road 1020. It is on the southern end of Black Oak Ridge and west of Piper Hill Road.

"He then began the construction of a log fort at the southern end of Black Oak Ridge, near Colonel Piper's house, and frequently was this place occupied by troops of the Revolution who were sent there to protect the settlers. Some time after this Colonel Piper erected a substantial stone house of two stories, to which many settlers at various periods fled for refuge, until the building became known as Fort Piper, and so it is still called at this late day."

All that's left of Fort Piper is a ~10 foot wide stone fireplace hearth and chimney just north of the newer 'MD' brother's house. The chimney is below Piper Cemetery, down the hill, and directly south by Piper Run. Piper Run is the stream just a few feet north of Colonel John Drive. The chimney can be seem from the southern most end of the West Cypher Road delta intersection with Colonel John Drive in a clump of trees to the west about 100 feet. Do not trespass. Take pictures from C.J. Drive or outside the fenced cattle area at the delta intersection.
