The Old Hillsboro Cemetery was the first cemetery in the Hillsboro area. For quite a while this cemetery was neglected, and abused by vandals. A group of caring Hillsboro residents came to the rescue, and now maintain is as well as they can. There are 24 Civil War veterans buried here, and one veteran of the Black Hawk War. --SixDogTeam
