This cemetery is known locally as the "Apprentice Boys Graveyard" due to the graves of John MITCHELBURN and Adam MURRAY being interred here. They were prominent members of the defenders during the Siege of Derry in 1689.

Despite also being on Church Road it should NOT be confused with Glendermott (Church of Ireland) Church and Cemetery which is located about 2 miles east near Altnagelvin Hospital.

It is located in the townland of Clondermot (note the subtle difference) about one mile east of the village of New Buildings and is very difficult to find without a map.
There is no parking at or near the cemetery, so if visiting, make suitable arrangements.
