This abandoned cemetery is located in a wooded plot on the west side of East Sleepy Hallow Road (about .4 miles north of Chicago Rd). It is difficult to survey, as the area if very over grown (2007) with nettles. However, there are five visible stones and parts of others. Needs a full survey to see what is under the leaf litter. New house recently constructed to the north of the cemetery.
Historically, the town (which no longer exists) of Ross Grove was named for early settler Joseph Ross who purchased property in Paw Paw Township in 1845. Additionally for being known as Ross Grove Cemetery, it was also known as LaPorte Cemetery.
