This unique sculpted reef is submerged in 40 feet of water 3.25 miles east of Key Biscayne, Miami.
Not only does this large man-made reef provide a final resting place for those whose cremains are incorporated into the structure, but also provides a habitat for marine life as well as a laboratory for marine biologists, students, researchers and ecologists. When completed, the memorial reef will be approximately 16 square acres in size.
Visitors to the reef can view the structure from glass-bottomed boats or as scuba divers.
