This is a privately-owned cemetery. The first interment here is that of Polly Vaughan in 1828. The cemetery is still in use. There is an area to park about 200 feet north of the cemetery, but the walk is along a windy, narrow road that does not have sidewalks.

The Upper Section is the older area. The asphalt driveway to #282 Halfway Pond Road leads to the entrance of the cemetery, which has no sign, no gate, and no asphalt. All the markers here face north. At the back of this section is a path that lead down to the Lower Section. The markers here all face west. This section was once enclosed with a wooden fence, but no trace of that fence is visible today. A moss-lined path leads down to Halfway Pond Road.

The Massachusetts Historical Commission refers to this cemetery in MACRIS as PLY813.

This burial place is referenced to in the book "Old Cemeteries of Southeastern Massachusetts" by Charles M Thatcher as "Cemetery between Halfway and Long Ponds".
