HANSEL Farm was was known as Pumpkin Hall and described in 1818:
" This property is on Jennings Run (Small Creek running between Mt. Savage and Frostburg).."(Notice published in WESTERN HERALD of Cumberland MD)
..Pumpkin Hall was originally purchased in 1806 by Phillip HANSEL from Andrew BRUCE.
..Today it is a Maryland Historical Trust Site with the Hansel Log House, Barn & Spring House preserved and is also known as the Kroll Log House.

The Brode Cemetery of Frostburg, MD was also referred to as the Hansel Cemetery and may be one and same as the Hansel Farm Cemetery.
