According to Anna Christian (whose family owned the property in the early 1900's) the cemetery was created to bury the bodies of three dead soldiers who were discovered on the property during the early part of the Civil War. These three soldiers are supposedly buried in the first three graves in the first row on the left going up the hill. Cemetery is not maintained, ground is very rocky and it is difficult to tell which rocks mark graves. Actual number of graves was impossible to determine, but appears to be more than twenty.
