There are at least six cemeteries in, or by, the town of Eureka. At one time there were Chinese and Jewish cemeteries as well, but little remains of those grave sites.

This cemetery is located on the west side of the town of Eureka, in an area known as Graveyard Flat, in 1880 it was also called Death Valley.

Schwamb cemetery was privately owned by C.W. Schwamb, an undertaker in the 1870's and the 1880's.
