The cemetery is located off highway 25 South of Heber Springs in what is now known as Mountain Aire. In 1982 members of the CCHS cleaned and fenced the plot, where the graves with their native stone markers were located, and placed an engraved marker with the names of the seventeen people known to have died while living at the farm.
This cemetery was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005 as the Cleburne County Farm, and is maintained by members of the Cleburne County Historical Society.
Today, the Cleburne County Farm Cemetery is the last surviving element from the Cleburne County Farm, and a rare reminder of the county's efforts to provide assistatnce to the poor during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The preserved cemetery, with its simple fieldstone markers, is a testament to the efforts of the Cleburne County Historical Society to restore, preserve, and maintain this important, but often overlooked, aspect of Arkansas' past.
