This cemetery is located three-fourths mile southwest of Strasburg on the south side of Twin Elm Road. The land was deeded in 1804 and served as the first burying place for the Mennonites in the Strasburg area. The Strasburg Mennonite congregation used it for burials from ca 1740 to 1804. In addition to Brackbills and Neffs, there are other names such as Barr, Cramer, Groff, Hagee, Harnish, Hock, Kendig, Linwille, Sides, Millers, Peirce, Resh, Wade, Walter, Weicker and White buried here. This graveyard was known to have contained burial plots for area residents who died in the 1700's, but their gravemarkers have disappeared over the years. Many were simply fields tones with carved initials.
