The original ornamental iron gate which marked the cemetery entrance has been moved to a location north of the present entrance. An octagonal "Dead House", also called the "Round House" was built on the cemetery grounds in 1886 and was used for storage of caskets in the winter months.
Early on March 1, 1914, a violent windstorm occurred and the electrical wires of the Mount Albert Telephone Co. Ltd. and the Toronto & York Radial Railway made contact with each other outside of the Village of Queensville. A power surge travelled along the power lines, setting fire to numerous homes and to the building which housed the Township Clerk's Office and the Telephone Exchange, producing a massive explosion and fire.
All of the records for burials in Queensville Cemetery which existed at that time were held in the Clerk's Office. The cemetery records were completely destroyed, along with the Township Clerk's Office and the Telephone Exchange.
As a result of the destruction of the Township Clerk's Office, there are no records of burials in Queensville Cemetery prior to March, 1914 other than what may have been transcribed from existing monuments and grave markers.
