Search Achnabreac Cemetery:

The cemetery lies in the Parish of Glassary, just north of the town of Lochgilphead. From Glasgow follow the M8 westbound to Junction 30(M898), then cross over the Erskine Bridge and take the A82 signposted Crianlarich. Follow the A82 up Loch Lomond and at Tarbet take the A83 through Inverary towards Lochgilphead. In Lochgilphead follow the shoreline towards the town centre and proceed straight ahead at the mini roundabout onto Poltalloch Street. Follow the road to the next mini roundabout and turn right signed for Oban, A816. Pass the petrol station and swimming pool on the right hand side and here is Achnabreac Cemetery. There are 4 Commonwealth burials of the 1914-18 war here. There are a further 9 Commonwealth burials from the 1939-45 war, 1 being an unidentified seaman of the Merchant Navy. There is also 1 Japanese war burial, N. Murai.
