Although the sign at the entry gate is simply "Hall Cemetery", this burial site has been variously denoted as "Madison D. Hall Cemetery", "Dyke Springs Cemetery", etc. This small overgrown, neglected cemetery (no longer used for burials) is located 5 miles east of Hope, AR at Rocky Mound near the intersection of Hwy 73 and County Rd 104 N. It was used as a burying ground by the Galloways, Mousers, and other local families long before the nearby Rocky Mound (Mouser Memorial) Cemetery existed. Many of the graves are unmarked and many markers have been broken or destroyed. The cemetery was included on a tract of land sold to the Hall family in 1907 by James Rufus Mouser and thus became known as the Hall Cemetery. (To reach the cemetery take Hwy 73 east from Hope and turn left (north) onto CR 104 N. Go about 1 mile, the cemetery is on the left).
