To reach cemetery take IS 35 from Georgetown, Texas to the junction with TX 195, Turn left on TX 195 (West) and head towards Florence. Just before the first stop light in Florence turn right on South Street. Continue on South Street to the junction with Presler Avenue. The cemetery is bordered by both streets. The main entrance is on Presler Avenue.

On 21 Oct. 1974, the Corp of Engineers moved eight inscribed gravestones and two unknowns from the Sawyer Cemetery on North Fork Lake to the Florence Cemetery. those moved were Sarah A. Sawyer, C.G. Sawyer, Catherine Sawyer, Martha J. Sawyer, Susan M. Piper, G.B. Sawyer, Norma Carrol Sawyer, Mary M. Sawyer, Unknown Baby No. 407 and Unknown Baby No. 409.
