Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery is a non-denominational cemetery that has been in operation since 1958 in the Oahu suburb of Kaneohe. It currently has 80 acres in use or available. The cemetery has a number of themed burial gardens, plus a columbarium and other burial and scattering venues. Knowing the name of the garden as well as the specific plot or niche identification number is necessary in order to locate a memorial because of the expanse of rolling terrain this cemetery comprises. The cemetery is next to the Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, but the division between the two is easily spotted when you are on the grounds. A recent addition to the cemetery on the road near the veterans cemetery is a Hawaii Gold Star Families Memorial Monument, which was dedicated in March 2018. This monument was provided by the Hershel “Woody” Williams Medal of Honor Foundation.
When making photo requests, because of the size of the cemetery and the volume of interments and inurnments, please provide the specific burial location (garden/zone and number) so that volunteer photographers can locate the memorials and photograph them for you. Office staff can provide this information to you by telephone. Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery is a member of the Dignity Memorial chain.
