Mountain View Memorial Gardens is a private cemetery operated by Arbor Memorial. This cemetery opened in 1953. It is located on the City of Calgary's eastern boundary at on the corner of 100 Street SE and 17 Avenue SE just west of the town of Chestermere.

This is a very large cemetery with multiple "Gardens". These gardens are not broken down into smaller sections like most cemeteries are. The gardens are merely numbered by plots. Each garden has between 500 to 2000 plots located within it. Each plot contains 4 graves. That is potentially thousands of markers per garden. Some of the older gardens are bigger than the more recent ones.

It is impossible to find a grave without at least knowing which garden the grave is located in. Even knowing the garden, without a plot number it can take hours to walk every row in the larger gardens. The plot numbers are well marked so if you do know the plot number, you can find the grave you are searching for quickly.

Due to the size of this 50,000+ grave cemetery, it is impossible to find a grave without knowing the plot location. If you would like to request a photo, please obtain the plot location prior to submitting your request or have the information added to the memorial subsequent to your request.
