From Waco travel West on FM Road 1637 until you reach the Old China Spring Road on your right and turn right. Drive about 1 mile until you reach the cemetery on the right side of the road.
Description: This is a large and well maintained cemetery located in rural North McLennan County. It has good signage and is fenced. There is a Historical Marker located at the front gate noting the community of China Spring 1870 and the name was derived from a nearby spring and a grove of Chinaberry trees. In 1902, local citizens established a community cemetery burial ground and association. The original tract was purchased in 1902. The original tract was chosen because the owner had allowed those without family burial plots to bury their loved ones on his land. First property purchased was sold for $10 and that bought them 12 burial spots. The cemetery is the final resting place for many of the early pioneers of the area.
