Nathan Liscomb Smith came from Virginia to Missouri in 1837, then to Franklin County in 1854. He was the owner of five slaves and was a blacksmith in Port Williams which was in the Gray Summit MO area.

Nathan owned 235 acres and his son, Theophilus D Smith owned 80 at this cemetery location.

There are ten marked graves.
