The Pink Anderson House, which was believed to be built in the 1790’s by Dr. W. D. Quinn, is on the National Register of Historic Places. Some year after Dr. Quinn’s ownership, this homestead was transferred to John L. Anderson, which rebuilt the home for his family and their heirs. This rebuilding included porches, gardens with fountains, a kitchen in the back and slave cabins. During the Depression of the 1930’s, the homestead decline. The last of the Anderson family to live in the home was Miss Pink Anderson, who died in 1952. Since then, the homestead has gone through several hands and has been restored. The home is currently owned by Vinnie and Roderick Dowling. The cemetery is the last resting place of the Quinn, Anderson and their allied family members. John L. Anderson’s grave is marked with tall upright granite monument. In the summer of 2015, the cemetery was found to be overgrown with vines, unkempt with leaves and sticks covering the flat headstones, and part of the surrounding fence had fallen into the thick underbrush.
