The Almshouse Cemetery was in poor shape from years of neglect. In 2011, David Shadduck of Warren Center spearheaded the effort to clean up the cemetery with the committee consisting of David Shadduck - BC Taxpayer & Interested Party, Matt Carl - BCHS Curator, Gene Osmun - BC VA Director, Kim Corbett - BC Maint. Supervisor, James Shadduck- BC Manor Administrator, & Donald Stewart - BC Correction Facility Warden. Richard Young of Warren Center donated the large bluestone marker, and Jody Cooley & Ted Dydynski donated the engraving of the “Bradford County Almshouse Cemetery” name. Northern Tier Solid Waste Authority set the stone in place. Labor work was provided by inmates from the jail. James Shadduck was the person who managed the most actions of the committee.
