Location: Calvary Cemetery is located on the north side of Springfield and ajoins Oak Ridge Cemetery although neither is accessible from the other. Both are two of the largest cemeteries in Sangamon County. Calvary is owned and maintained by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Springfield.

History: Originally the cemetery started out as a burial ground for German and Irish Catholics but today it is non-denominational.
