Holy Rood Cemetery is the cemetery of the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Morristown, New Jersey. The original cemetery, known as St. Mary's Cemetery, was located behind Assumption Church. In 1875, that parcel of land was a full tract consisting of approximately 15 acres fronting Whippany Road.
Among the 12,000 people presently buried at Holy Rood Cemetery are Assumption's former pastors, civil war soldiers, and relatives of Paul Revere.
The cemetery includes mausoleums, in ground plots and cremation niches. Many of the stained glass windows in the mausoleum chapels are originally from the old All Soul's Hospital or from the historic Assumption Church building.
