Dorothy Mae Beck Smith, 83, of Zebulon, died Monday, August 11, 2008 at Guardian Care of Zebulon.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 14, 2008 at BrownWynne Funeral Home Chapel, 1701 East Millbrook Road, Raleigh, NC 27609.
Interment will follow the service at Brier Creek Memorial Gardens, Raleigh.
The family will receive friends 12:00-1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of Lucy Latta, 2201 New Bunch Road, Zebulon.
Dorothy was born in Wake County on July 31, 1925 to Jessie C. and Nola Thomas Beck. She attended Layden United Methodist Church. Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mallie Pate Smith; and a great grandson, Dylan.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of NC; or the American Cancer Society.
