Anna/Ann/Annie Coward PateAnna was born abt. 1800 in North Carolina. She died after the 1800 Census was taken. Anna is probably buried in Wayne County, Mississippi. She married John Pate, Sr. abt. 1824. John and Anna had seven children. They are as follows: Drew Pate, Sarah Pate, John Pate, Jr., Nancy Pate, Cynthia Ann Pate, Willis Pate and Rebecca Pate. I have traced Anna and her children from 1845 through the present day.Anna's father was Elisha Coward b. 1750 North Carolina d. July 23, 1899 Mississippi. I do not have any information on her mother. Her grandparents: Needham M. Coward and Nancy Hadley Stone. Some of these people are buried in Franklin County, Mississippi.
