Rell died, very unexpectedly, while visiting his daughter in California. He was cremated, brought back home to Utah where the family held a quiet memorial. His cremains were shared with his two daughters, his brother and sister. Some of his ashes were left at the gravesides of his beloved mom and grandparents. Elysean Gardens in Salt Lake City, Utah
