McMurrough died on Dec. 25, 2008, at St. Clare's Compassionate Care in Dover. She was 79. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Church in Mendham. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Rd., Mendham, (973) 543-4720. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Mrs. McMurrough raised her family in Livingston, N.J., and Palos Verdes, Calif. She also lived in Naples, Fla., and Torrance, Calif., before recently moving to Bridgewater. She was a homemaker who loved caring for her family, neighbors and friends. Mrs. McMurrough was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Torrance, California She was predeceased by her husband, Robert; her two sons, William and Robert; one brother, John D. Peat, and her nephew, John Peat. Survivors include her daughter, Ann C. Cole of Bridgewater, formerly of Mendham, and her four grandchildren, Cristin Kral, Maureen Cole, Jennifer Martinez and Ian McMurrough. She is also survived by her two great-grandchildren, Robert and Evan Martinez, and one nephew, Richard Peat.
