St. Mary's Cemetery, Montgomery, Orange County, New York

Located in Montgomery, New York in Orange County. As a young child, I often visited this cemetery with my father. While he carefully tended to his family's gravesites, he shared his memories of his relatives and friends buried there. Today,I carry on the tradition for and in memory of my parents and my ancestors. This cemetery represents generations of families, many who emigrated to Orange County from a number of countries. They married, had families, and became a tight knit and productive community. Many were farmers, who worked the fertile fields in towns like Montgomery, Crawford, Campbell Hall, and Hamptonburgh. Many worked for the railroad which had a major hub in Maybrook, New York. There were those who were entrepaneurs and created businesses that would meet the needs of their community. It is my privelege to honor these people by adding their memorials to this website.
