Twenty eight years after he left us, we still miss Francis Shipp. He was a wonderful father to his six children, myself, David, the youngest by 14 years and my older siblings Shirley, Jimmy, Jerry, Carolyn, and Janice. He was also a wonderful grandfather to his grandchildren and great children and was a great in-law too. Francis accomplished many other things in life. He was a businessman, an auctioneer, a farmer, and even preached a few sermons when he was younger. He also worked at Nevada State Hospital from 1954 to 1974, taking care of the mentally ill and mentally retarded. I have so many memories of my father, I do not even know where to begin if I were asked my favorite memory. I just wish he had not left us so early but I take comfort in knowing that one day all of us will be together again.
