Rosalie committed suicide in the home of her brother-in-law, ex-corporal Kosman Morgan, at 1524 Elysian Fields Avenue, due to rumors about her. I could not live any longer. Forgive me, mama. Good-by to all. Send me home." Per the article "her reference to sending her body home meant that she wanted her remains sent to Milneburg, and last night relatives had an undertaken convey her to the lakeside resort."
