Civil War Buddies

I'm still looking for Captain or possibly Major James F. Watson (from the Beloit Wisconsin area), and others from (primarily Company B) 72nd Illinois Infantry who were stationed in occupation of Vicksburg, Mississippi, and transferred in about late March or early April of 1864 to an African Descent Regiment in Vidalia, Louisana / Natchez, Mississippi. Other names that have come up are E.T. Gilchrist and Lt. Col. Hubert McCaleb.By November 15, 1864, Ethan Taylor Montgomery held the rank of Captain in Company C, 70th USCI (United States Colored Infantry) headquartered at Natchez, Mississippi.
