12th Air Force - WW II (1941 -1945) / 57th Bombardment Wing / 310th Bombardment Group / 379th Bombardment Squadron / Stationed in the Mediterranean Theater of Operations. Air Corps. All SEVEN crew members were on a Bombing Mission in the Brenner Pass Area, ITALY, when their Aircraft took a direct flak hit, went into a dive, crashed and burst into flames. They were Killed In Action on January 18, 1945.
