Bascom, Presley and Mary Smith were my first cousins (3 times removed). They were the children of Abram L. and Mary Long Smith of Adairville, Kentucky. Abram and Mary had 9 children, but lost three within a week. Baby Mary (1) and Bascom (7) died on the same day, September 1, 1855. Two-year-old Presley died four days later.
