Bio

I started photographing churchyards after searching for my own family in the Midlands. Having seen some of the beautiful, isolated churchyards, and so many deteriorating, broken and moved gravestones, wanted to save them in at least digital format before they fully perished.

I focus primarily on churchyards, and have photographed vastly in Gloucestershire.

A lot of these burial grounds have old and worn stones, and on first sight on the transcription page may not show clearly.

I suggest saving either a partial or "unknown" memorial page, then viewing the full resolution image on the memorial page. You can these by clicking the image and choosing "View Original" on the right of the popup. Usually this will give a better view of the memorial (though it can take some time to decipher with badly worn ones).

I appreciate the effort and time from some transcribers, and all the edits and suggestions of other users.

Please ask if you've any questions!
