October 2023:
When I offered to go through the 6 office boxes of family records that my father inherited, I thought it would be easy to discard much of it, and keep a few things. Instead I found treasures that are taking me years to work through and research, including: family photographs as far back as 1872 (many identified on the back by family members), letters from as early as 1804, remembrance cards, family histories, my grandparents' genealogical research, and Civil War letters. I became the family historian, and have since inherited 1800's portraits, an 1880 Singleton family bible with letters and remembrances tucked in its pages, 3 office boxes of information on my mom's side including my great-grandmother's decades of genealogical research, and cassettes with oral histories.

I believe family photos and information should be shared where others can find them. As I have sorted and researched those records, I have been adding that information to my Ancestry tree. I realized that more people will have access to FindAGrave than to Ancestry, so I have started adding information here.

People absolutely have permission from me to use photos and information in your own family trees and compilations, but please credit the source, and contact me for permission for professional use.

My family records include the surnames Singleton, Phipps, Egan, Trimble, Polson, Vanskike, Amrine, Graves, Tripp, Brown, Chilcott, Loveall, Thompson, McLain, Hobbs, Howard, Strickland, Harriss, Blount, Cates, Thompson, and Griffeth.
