My love for knowledge about my family came from my father. He left us with many memories of our family. We knew many generations of both our mother's side of the family and our father's family because of him and his encouragement to look at who and where we came from. We walked the different cemeteries in the countryside of Wisconsin and Minnesota with him telling us who he knew and how they were related or if they were friends.
