Gayla Dean and I started doing the Dean side of the family back in 1990. She worked the census and I worked the Maysville, Garvin County, OK obits at the Oklahoma Historical Society. I knew where most of the immediate relatives were buried at Antioch Cemetery and Maysville Cemetery. We both worked the courthouses for marriage and divorce records. We wrote lots of letters to family members and most of them were very helpful on their direct lines. Gayla had the computer and added information as we found it. Gayla and my cousin, Chester Wayne Dean had the Dean reunions for several years. They took up a fund at the Reunions we pay for Headstones for the ones that did not have them. We knew from John Wesley Dean's 1933 obit that he was buried next to his father Bailey A. Dean who died some 30 odd years before him. We did some of the Brown's, Brewer's, Jackson side, also. I then started doing my mother's Strunk, Carpenter, Richard, Tobey, Pharaoh, side. Most of my husband's family was in Cleveland County, OK so it was easier to do the Curren, Fore, and Juelch sides. When I started my delivery service in 2004 I stored all of my research and rarely worked it. I retired in Feb 0f 2023 and started up again after coming across Find A Grave online. Using all of my old research I started connecting the families that were online and adding memorials for the ones that weren't already online. My goal is to complete all of our families to the best of my ability for future generations.
