Bio

David was born at Porter Sanitarium in Denver on August 22, 1956. His parents, Virginia Harper and George Ralph Dennis met and were married in Springfield, Missouri. David's brother, Randy, and sister, Marilyn were born in Springfield.

David attended Denver Public Schools, graduating from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1974. He attended Mount Vernon Bible College, Metropolitan State College and Colorado State University before finally receiving his bachelor of music education degree at Metropolitan State College.

David married Janice Arlyne Dennis on January 6, 1979. They had one child, a son, who was born in 1985.

David taught elementary music at Georgetown Elementary, and then in Sedelia Elementary and Northridge Elementary.

He felt called to go into ministry, so he quit teaching and attended Colorado Christian College (which is now Colorado Christian University). He graduated with a bachelor of Christian Ministry degree.

He then taught at Arickaree School and pastored the Sunnydale Evangelical Free Church in eastern Colorado.

David went on to serve as associate pastor (youth minister and music director) at the Cheyenne Evangelical Free Church.

After a short stint as music teacher in Kacy, Wyoming, David returned to Colorado and worked as a clerk in the Adams County Courthouse. While working there, David helped to plant the Mile High Church in Lochbuie, Colorado.
