Bio

I'm a great-great grandson of Martin Donald McDonald (memorial 188177215) and wife Lucinda Ezell McDonald (memorial 7890171) who, along with with their children, moved from Lauderdale Mississippi to Corsicana Texas not long after the civil war. Martin and Lucinda are buried in Dunn Cemetery within Navarre County in Texas. Their son, Robert Eli (memorial 97826342) and wife Mary Hendricks McDonald (memorial 97826229) are my great-grandparents. They are buried in the IOOF cemetery near Eureka Springs Arkansas. My grandparents, James Robert McDonald (memorial 76684638) and Laura Roden McDonald (memorial 76684641) were married in 1896 in Corsicana Texas. In the early 1900's they moved to Kiowa County in Oklahoma, bringing their child Annie (memorial 40054616), parents and several siblings.

They settled in Comanche County around 1922 to farm. My grandmother, Laura Roden McDonald (memorial 76684641), died in 1924 at age 43 not long after.

My records and photos are largely of the descendants and siblings of my great-grandfather, Robert Eli, and more notably those of my grandfather, James Robert McDonald.

I have detailed records compiled by my uncle, Frank McDonald (1915-1999, memorial 50955123)
in a book he wrote in 1987, The Oklahoma Kid. I inherited an extensive collection of family photos and documented family history that I'm adding to memorials managed by others.

I'm also updating memorials for ancestors/descendants/siblings of Lloyd Jefferson Foster Sr. (memorial 148062320) and Laura Lucille Machen Foster (memorial 40416320) from Mathews County, Virginia.

You have my permission to copy any information and/or photos that are on family memorials to use in your family history. Please contact me if so.
