I am a retired Security Supervisor, a Vietnam War era veteran, and a Cancer Survivor. I have been researching family histories for the last 37 years and at one point (1989-1993) was listed with the Missouri State Archives as a Genealogical Researcher for Southeast Missouri.

Most all of the Memorials I manage or make suggestions to, are family members or are connected to a family member. A very large portion of them I knew when they were living and have personal knowledge of them and their families. I am one of two Family Historians for these family lines.

It has been my experience, through the years, that you cannot always believe what is written in an obituary or even on a death certificate. This information is generally provided by the closest next of kin, the person that is more than likely the most upset, and is prone to make mistakes.
