Bio

I am interested in any information on the following relatives:
Lipar (Harrietta MI), which includes the Rant Family (Freeland, MI),
Campbell (Lansing which relates to the Mann, Bond Port Huron)
Frank (Coleman)
Verwey Mt. Pleasant
Marhofer Beal City (The last reunion they had 15 copies of the Marhofer family tree all the way back to Germany. Unfortunately, one of the cousins gave them all out, and after the reunion, she went back to get more copies and the document was deleted or lost). If you have a copy of the family tree, please share a copy with me.

I love cleaning and taking pictures of gravestones. I mostly work on church cemeteries. Where I live they are a lot smaller, and in need of some TLC. And I take pictures of everything. I usually find 1 to 2 stones that have never been posted, from the past. And that is what makes it interesting. Now picture taking is done for the winter.

I am now volunteering, and am currently finding obituaries and posted them for St. Andrew's Cemetery, Find a Grave, Saginaw, MI. Starting at the A's until I am done.
I am not a spring chicken and not very computer savvy. So sharpening up my typing skills took a little time. I am old fashioned, I print a bunch of obituaries and started typing them in. And if I can't find or read the obituary, I contact the Library and they will look for them for you. All libraries must be the same, you can only get 5 obits a week from them.

Where I see a need for Volunteering is to get with the Library in your area and see what can be done to either get the obituaries online on their site (a lot of this is on microfilm and will not last forever), or find them, and type them into Find a Grave. It is something that children can help look for, and or type them into the computer, and it provides a great history lesson.
